[Philippians 2:12 KJV] “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”
I want to share with you simple things you can do to contribute to church growth. We all have a role to play in the agenda to depopulation hell and populate heaven. This is a shared responsibility between the Lord of the harvest, the shepherd, and the ninety-nine.
Your pastor cannot be with you always. You must have a deep sense of responsibility to preserve your faith and work hard. You must know how to continue in the faith and keep working to make your election sure.
While the shepherd steps out to search for the one sheep that is lost, the rest of us must remain in the pen. We all have a role to play.
To augment your pastor’s effort in reaching the world, you must;
- Sign-up and stand with your pastor
- Read your Bible and pray every day
- Honour all church meetings
- Groom and style in godliness
- Eat your bread with gladness
- Live in harmony with all men
- Work to earn a legitimate living
- Give to the poor
- Witness: invite many in-person and online. Search| watch| like| comment| share messages (video, audio, and print)
- Disciple others to do the same
These are ten simple things we can all do to sustain the flow of souls to the church as the Lord adds them. I pray that the Lord will give you the grace to reach out to others. You may not have to travel to a distant land to win the world. Just work our your salvation with fear and trembling, while you hold a neighbour’s hand.
