[Romans 12:1-2 KJV] “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. [2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God”.
I want to exhort you today on the need to pursue transformation. We are all aware that we need change and some kind of transformation. This is because God formed us in His own image and after His likeness to serve and rule in the midst of His creation. But sin deformed us; sin took from us that power to rule and represent God in the midst of His creation. And now the truth remains that the word of God is informing us that renewing your mind is what will transform you.
Transformation will come after you renew your mind. The Scriptures tell us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Whenever the word of God comes to you, you must allow that word to renew your mind. You must allow that word to change something in your mind. The word of God changes us by effecting a change in our minds. This is why you must allow the Word to work on your thought patterns. So understand that change begins in the mind; You will be transformed when you change what you think of.
Any person who refuses to improve on the quality of his thoughts will not see much change in his or her life. Transformation comes through renewing the mind. That is how great change begins. Until the thought pattern is modified, life can never change.
I pray that the word of God would begin to effect the necessary changes in your mind. May you begin to renew your mind! Allow the word to work on you. Allow the word to impact your mind. This is the time and the day to step up your game for change and conversion.
