[Psalms 1:1-4 KJV] “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord ; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away”.
I would rather be alone than to be in the company of the ungodly, of sinners, and of scorners. The three most dangerous persons to hang around and out with are the ungodly, the sinner, and the scornful. Where you sit (relax), stand (wait and think), and where you walk (act and progess) matters.
The most dangerous thing:
- The most dangerous thing about the ungodly is their counsel.
- The most dangerous thing about a sinner are his ways.
- The most dangerous thing of the scornful are their seats.
Where you sit and stand and how you walk will determine how you end up. Until you change where you sit and stand, and how you walk; nothing will change.
Many people are failing because they keep company with the ungodly, sinners, and scornful. Many spend precious time on social media and on chat apps with the wrong crowd, hence their thoughts and decisions and attitudes are affected.
May the Good Lord give each and every one of us the wisdom to spend our days and nights thinking and meditating on the word of God. May you not spend a day without the word.
