The Bible says every good and perfect gift comes from the Lord; the father of light in whom there is no variableness. To live and operate under open heaven is the life and operate in a realm where heaven positively augments and amplifies your effort. To live and operate under open heaven is to live and operate in a realm where new mercies, new blessings, new doors are opening from you always.
Five simple keys that will keep your heavens opened are prayer, obedience and word practice, fellowshiping, giving and thanksgiving, and maintaining a right heart. These are five master keys to keep your heavens opened. These are the keys to keep moving from one level of glory to the other. These are the master keys to deep spiritual experiences and greater growth.
[Acts 2:42-47 KJV]“And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.”
“And all that believed were together, and had all things common; and sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.”
“And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”
1. Prayer
If we desire to see the kind of move of God that brings growth then we must learn to watch, pray and fast. The prayerless church operates under closed heaven. We can keep the heavens open by merely keeping prayer alive in the church. This is the time to lift prayer and keep pushing.
2. Obedience and practicing the Word:
Obedience and word practice is the second key. When we obey the voice of God, heaven opens over us. We walk in His favour and grace. Obedience and practising the word leads to favour. Abraham’s continual Obedience kept his heaven opened.
The early Church continued in the apostles’ doctrine; that is to say that they obeyed the word. Let us continue in the Word. Allow the word to renew your mind and continue steadfastly.
3. Fellowship:
You will live under open heaven when you maintain fellowship with the Holy Ghost, with the brethren, and your pastor. The early Church continued in the apostles’ fellowship, and those who believed were together.
The prodigal son failed because he went far from the father and broke fellowship. I am sure that if he had stayed close to home and maintained his fellowship with the Father, he would have succeeded.
Let us maintain fellowship with the Holy Ghost, with the brethren, and with our pastors. Our pastors are the helpers of our joy. Let us continue to fellowship with them.
4. Thanksgiving and giving:
Remember also that God loves a cheerful giver. Giving must be accompanied by faith, thanksgiving, and simplicity. Givers never lack. Any man who wants to operate under open heaven must learn to give.
“Give and it will come back to you; a good measure, press down shaken together, running over will God cause men to give unto you“. Your seed sown will keep your heaven opened.
We must learn how to give in faith and with simplicity. We must sow in the spirit and reap eternal things. Your business will do well when you learn to sow your seeds in faith.
5. A right heart:
Finally, the eyes of the Lord are moving to and fro seeking someone whose heart right before that He might show Himself strong on their behalf. We must continually allow the word of God to renew our minds. God is with us and will help us when we learn to cultivate the right heart.
I have no doubt in my mind that we can keep our heavens opened. We must be in health and prosper even as our souls prosper. You will not and must not fail.
