7 steps to revival and restoration

Revelation 2 and 3 are the key bible scriptures that outlines the key steps to revival and restoration we ought to.understand the need to reorient and move in the direction we set out for and towards the right goal.

  1. Remember from where you have fallen: Revival begins when you acknowledge that things at not the same. You should be able to tell the difference between how things used to be and how things have become. As long as you find nothing wrong with your present state, you will find no need to do anything about your state. Revival begins with recognition.
  2. Repent (give up the doctrine of balaam, the nicolaitanes, and Jezebel): to repent is to change both your mind and your direction. To repent is to reorient. The truth about attempting to draw or travel in a straight line is you usually veer off the road. There is the need to constantly recalibrate and reroute. Reorienting your voyage to the original course is important.
  3. Begin to do the first works and keep his word. What were the first works? What are some of the things we used to do as a church and as individuals? (Intense Intercessory and prayer meeting, Sunday sabbath, camp meetings, mini crusades and rallies,  special meetings etc)
  4. Fear none of the things that may come upon you and be faithful to the end. As you begin to do the first works and try to keep the word, the devil will attack you and try to cast some of you into prison and afflict you; but don’t be afraid. Be faithful to the end.
  5. Be watchful and strengthen the things that remain. No matter how bad and hopeless the situation might look, there are still certain things that remain and are not dead; let’s try and stre gthen them. We still have a few good people around, though some have left. Let us strengthen those who have remained rather than criticising those who have left. Strengthen the few programmes that remain. Strengthen the few things that remain!
  6. Anoint your eyes with eye salves. Enough of the mediocrity. Don’t lower the standard; buy of the Lord eye salves so that you can see measure and evaluate well. Many of us have lowered our standards and we pride ourselves with cheap entertainment and goodies. Let us begin to up our game abit and know real value and go for gold.
  7. Open the door to the master of you hear his voice. We may not all hear the voice at once; but whosoever opens he comes in and dine. Let us open the door for the master by the force and key of faith. Let us believe and see him move.
