By staying in shape, I mean ‘to prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers’. Let us study the 7 simple ingredients to a healthier and better life.
[Acts 2:37-43,45-47 KJV] “Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?”
[38] “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. [39] For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.“
[40] “And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. [41] Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.”
[42] “And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. [43] And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. [45] And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.“
[46] “And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, [47] Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”
So the following are 7 you need more of if you want to stay in shape;
- More word in your spirit: Get more word into your spirit heart and mind which ever way possible. More teaching and exposition of the Scriptures will enlighten your spirit and mind. You need more word to experience great change by the supernatural. Let us get more word into our spirits. Watch preaching videos, listen to audio preaching tapes, read gospel literature, and read the Bible. Just get more word into your spirit!
- Get more music and singing into your atmosphere: We need to have a multi-faceted approach to faith. The church will see more and more daily increase when we invest more into music, worship, and singing. Get atmosphere creators that lightens your atmosphere with more inspiring music.
- More prayers and intercession: Prayer softens the terrain for greater results. The more you pray the more you clear the atmosphere for greater impact and change. Men ought to always pray and not faint.
- More obedience and compliance: You must honour God with your life and substance; we must yield our members as instruments of righteousness in order to stay in shape. When you obey God He takes sickness from your midst.
- More fellowship, services and meetings: These are the things that prepare you to make impact. The more of these you have, the more people are impacted by the Spirit of God operating in your life, and they get blessed. The Bible encourages us to follow peace with them that call upon God out of a pure heart. Let us learn to meet more as the end approaches.
[Hebrews 10:25 KJV] “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is ; but exhorting one another : and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
- More giving and volunteering: We must give more of our substance and time. When you learn to give more time and resources in helping people, you open the doors of God’s goodness and grace to flow into your life.
- More contentment and cooperation instead of confrontation: Peace and a merry heart does good like medicine. We must strive to live our lives content. “Godliness with contentment is great gain! “
