[Psalms 1:1‭-‬3 KJV] “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. [2] But his delight is in the law of the Lord ; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. [3] And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper”.

As we step into this season of doing the first works, we are trusting God to prosper us in the things we do and plan to do. And today, the word of God is teaching us four simple secrets to prospering without much sweat. These simple secrets are;

1. Don’t sit in the seat of the scornful:

My candid advice to you in the school of prosperity is don’t scorn anything you don’t understand. Don’t criticise anything, because you don’t know when you may have to take that same path. My life is my life and your life is your life; don’t scorn anyone or anything. The best way to live is to have no opinion about anything, except what the word of God says. Never scorn any man. Hold not thoughts, you don’t understand the full story. I pray for you that you will not be the one in the seat of the scornful. Never sit in that chair.

2. Don’t stand in the way of sinners:

I believe this statement has two connotations. The first is, don’t try to oppose a sinner, you will only hurt yourself. The second meaning is, don’t try to behave like a sinner. This is a key secret to prosper. Sinners have a way of wasting your time. When anyone entertains sinners, he or she does not prosper. I pray that you will not stand in the way of sinners, you will not be the one sinning in the group. The Lord shall be good to you as you serve Him. I pray that you will not spend time in the path where sinners trek. Sin is contagious.

3. Don’t walk in the counsel of the ungodly:

We all get to that point where we need counsel. There are times when we get confused and are unable to tell which way to go. Should you ever get there take heed who you seek counsel from.

The counsel of the ungodly will only lead to rebellion and disloyalty. I pray that you shall not walk in the counsel of the ungodly. May you walk only in godly counsels. May you seek only godly counsel all the days of your life and may you prosper by them, amen!

4. Delight yourself and meditate on God’s word:

So then, the secret to prosperity is to delight yourself in the law of God and meditate on it day and night.

I see good progress in your life to the build-up to prosperity. Those sitting must get up; those standing must start walking, and those walking must ponder their way and begin to do something with their lives. In other words, stand, walk, think, and do. You must do what you ought to do if you want to prosper. You don’t prosper by delighting and meditating, you prosper by doing. This is why the scripture says,  “and whatsoever he does shall prosper”. You must not sleep any more; arise and begin to do, but make sure whatever you do is by the Word of God, and you will prosper and make it big.

I pray and prophesy, that as you get up, get going, start thinking, and implementing your thoughts based on the word of God, may the Lord look favourably upon all that you do. May your testimony move many to testify that this is the Lord’s doing and it’s marvellous in their eyes. You will excel in the mighty name of Jesus, amen!

In conclusion, don’t scorn, don’t sin, don’t pervert; just think and do according to the word the Lord. Like servants, we can’t sleep and expect success, but we must act according to the will of our master. Arise, move, think, and act!
