There is no better way to memorise important lessons than though singing
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain (1 Corinthians 15:1-2 KJV)
The Bible tells us that we are saved by the gospel that was delivered to us if we keep in memory what was preached unto us; unless we believed in vain. The gospel may not save you unless you keep it in your memory. Keeping the messages and instructions of your pastor in memory is what would save and deliver you from snares and temptation.
In fact, there is no better way to memorise important lessons than through singing. This is the reason why early childhood development centres learn through singing and rhymes. When we learn to speak to ourselves in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, we would be encouraged and the messages will stick.
And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God (Ephesians 5:18–21 KJV)
The phrase speaking to yourselves does not mean speaking to others among us; it is speaking to your own self through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. I pray that you will form the habit of encouraging and speaking to yourself in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.
We must therefore be careful what we sing. The songs will inform our understanding. Let us therefore sing Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs.
If you speak to yourself in secular reggae, you will soon start thinking as the world. You will learn from the wisdom of demons; but as you sing spiritual songs, you learn the wisdom of God.
Beware and don’t fall into the trap and snare of learning the wisdom of demons through singing secular songs. Sing spiritual songs and learn godly wisdom.

Speaking to myself in hymns, psalms ans Singing Spiritual songs will make me more spiritual, able to pray, memorize scriptures, timeless truth and to keep focus on God’s agenda.
To be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
I consciously decide to be spiritually minded In Jesus’ Name.

The scriptural references says it all. For the word preached and believed to be effectual unto me I new to memorize it. And singing the word to myself will help me memorize them.

I will stay strong by singing spiritual songs, hymns and the palms to myself. I remembered how one day I wanted to take 10gh from uncle’s wallet and I heard the voice of Bishop in a message that he said taking someone’s thing without asking is stealing, I paid no attention, just as I took the wallet to pick the money, my uncle walk in on me. I was so embarrassed by that and I asked myself, couldn’t I have saved myself from that temptation if I were to heed to what Bishop preached or even just going to ask him?. Keeping the word and the words/preaching and the instructions of my pastor will save me from temptation. Am bless to have hear this word today.
