I want to speak to you today on 7 tips that will help you in the marketplace of life.
(2 Timothy 4:6-8 KJV) “For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”
We have already studied that “it is appointed unto man once to die and after death there is judgement” (Hebrews 9:27).
But whilst we live on Earth and in this life, we “are the light of the world and the salt of the earth” (See Matthew 5: 13-16). When we all appear before the Great King, we will have to answer what we did whilst on Earth.
On the final day, three things will matter; whether you fought the good fight, finished your course, and kept the faith.
If you are really determined to fight the good fight, finish your course and keep the faith, then these are 7 tips that will help you. Remember always that;
1. You are a member of a body and you have a unique calling:
Remember that you have a unique calling. You are not here by chance. Divinity programmed your life. The Bible tells us that we are “saved by grace through faith; and we not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:8-10)
We were created to walk in good works ordained for us. There is a good work ordained for you to walk in. You are unique. You are not like everyone else. 1 Corinthians 12:12-31 teaches clearly that we are many members but one body. We are members of one another. There is a place for everyone.
2. You are gifted and graced for your calling:
Whatever your calling is, remember that you are gifted and graced to walk in it and to discharge it (2 Timothy 1:9). You are not behind in any way. Just discover your calling and grace and giftings. Ephesians 4:7 teaches that we are not just called but graced and gifted. We are graced and gifted as the Spirit and the Lord wills.
3. You have a unique prophetic destiny:
There is a prophetic destiny for every one of us. Romans 9: 7-16 tells us that “it is not of him that runs nor of him that wills but it is the Lord who shows mercy and has compassion.” There is a prophetic destiny for every man. May the Lord help you to discover your prophetic destiny and to walk in it.
Dear, many are running but their race is just a struggle because they have missed their destiny, but you shall not miss your destiny in Jesus’ name.
4. You determine how people deal with you.
What you write and publish is what those who read will run with (See Habakkuk 2:1-4) People will run with you according to what you write. People will relate to you according to what you write and publish. What do your dressing and manners suggest? Expect nothing more or less from people who relate with you.
5. You will inherit the promise if you run the race set before you with faith and patience:
Hebrews 6:12 encourages us to “be followers of those who through faith and patience inherited the promise”. There is a race set before us. There is a race each of us ought to run.
Your good intentions will not deliver good results but your good actions will.
Hebrews 12: 1-4 encourages us to “cast off every weight and sin that easily beset us and run with patience the race set before us.” This is the time, let us run the race set before us. Run your own race. Become what you are destined to be. There is a place for you, fit in there. Don’t just copy everything, run so you can win. Don’t sit idle.
6. You must focus on your journey:
Focus on your journey and don’t be distracted. There are so many things vying for your attention, please focus! Luke 17:26-37 tells us that many shall be distracted with food and drinks, marriage and sex, and buying and selling; but you should not be part of the number. Focus on your journey, don’t succumb to the pressure.
Don’t be distracted by the falling standards around you. You are not like the world. You are a child of God.
I am persuaded that you will honour God. Focus on your journey. The Righteous Judge is coming and coming with His rewards. Finish and finish with joy. You will regret it if you backslide. You must and you will win.
7. You are more than conquerors in the market place of life.
Finally remember, if God is for us nobody can be against us. Romans 8:31, Haha! :o. I am so excited! Nothing and no one can stop you. God is for us, we are more than conquerors. We will win over evil. Receive grace!
Beloved, we are the light of the world, and the salt of the Earth; we are planted here to shine. It is time to understand your prophetic destiny and not miss your time. Let us understand that we are here for a reason and for a season. There is an assignment we must finish. You will not miss your turn!
