The only authentic signs of faith or belief in the gospel are the fivefold fundamental signs which the Lord Jesus outlined in Mark 16:14-20. This is where we begin our faith journey and advance to other miracles, special miracles, wonders and mighty signs.
The fivefold authentic fundamental signs are:
- Casting out devils in Jesus’ name.
- Speaking with a new tongue.
- Taking up serpents.
- Immunity to deadly poison.
- Laying your hands on the sick.
[Mark 16:14-20 KJV]“Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. [15] And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. [16] He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
[17] And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; [18] They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. [19] So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. [20] And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them , and confirming the word with signs following. Amen”.
These are fundamental signs that must follow everyone who believes in Christ. You must see these signs following you. You cannot be a believer and not have signs following you. These are the most authentic signs of faith.

May the Lord help and grace us to walk in these signs! May we cast out devils in the name of the Lord, and speak with new tongues! May we take up serpents and be immune to deadly poison! May your touch bring healing to as many as seek it. May signs follow you and may you walk in the newness of life.
These are the proofs of faith, these are the signs that the people have believed your word. When you preach, teach, or share the word; these are the signs that manifest in the lives of those who believe.
