[1 Samuel 10:1-10 KJV] “Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the Lord hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance? [2] When thou art departed from me to day, then thou shalt find two men by Rachel’s sepulchre in the border of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say unto thee, The asses which thou wentest to seek are found: and, lo, thy father hath left the care of the asses, and sorroweth for you, saying, What shall I do for my son? [3] Then shalt thou go on forward from thence, and thou shalt come to the plain of Tabor, and there shall meet thee three men going up to God to Beth-el, one carrying three kids, and another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a bottle of wine: [4] And they will salute thee, and give thee two loaves of bread; which thou shalt receive of their hands”.
[5] “After that thou shalt come to the hill of God, where is the garrison of the Philistines: and it shall come to pass, when thou art come thither to the city, that thou shalt meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place with a psaltery, and a tabret, and a pipe, and a harp, before them; and they shall prophesy: [6] And the Spirit of the Lord will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man”.
[7] “And let it be, when these signs are come unto thee, that thou do as occasion serve thee; for God is with thee. [8] And thou shalt go down before me to Gilgal; and, behold, I will come down unto thee, to offer burnt offerings, and to sacrifice sacrifices of peace offerings: seven days shalt thou tarry, till I come to thee, and shew thee what thou shalt do. [9] And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day. [10] And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them”.
There are five things that will help any of us to move to the next level by prophecy and by unction. The Bible tells us how Saul had an encounter with Samuel, the prophet of God, and it changed his life. He was moved to the next level by prophecy and unction. Samuel anointed and prophesied to him. I believe that in the coming year you shall be enthroned by prophecy and unction. Just as Samuel anointed and prophesied to Saul and Saul moved to the next level to become king of Israel, you shall also move to the next level by my prophecy and anointing. As I declare it, so shall it be in the name of Jesus Christ!
Now, the five things that will enable you to move to the next level in your life by prophecy and unction are; another heart, another Pentecost, another pursuit, another ordination, and another consistency.
Saul was able to move to another level by prophecy and unction because he received another heart, another Pentecost, and another purpose.
Another heart:
2020 will be no difference in your life until you receive another heart; a heart like that of God. A heart of consistent loyalty. A heart that can follow, pushing against all odds. The problem with Saul was that as he rose through the ranks, he did not guard his heart. His heart became filled with self and ego, and that is why he failed. Saul moved to the next level because he received a different heart, but he lost that heart along the line and failed.
Another Pentecost:
We all need another baptism. We all need to receive a fresh anointing. I pray that God will give us another baptism as in Acts 4. When the Holy Ghost came upon Saul, he began to speak with another tongue. God gave him utterance. He was given another tongue. Your life begins to change when you speak with a new tongue. This is because your words are forerunners into your future. I pray that you shall speak by a new tongue. The Bible tells us that as he encountered the prophets, got baptised by the Spirit and began to speak, he became another man.
Another dimension of doing:
Finally, he began to do as the occasion served him, until the time of meeting with Samuel for his enthronement. You must not forget the hand that lifted you. God will take each of us far but it will happen little by little. You can not sleep and expect to move to the next level, you must step out and act. The prophet taught Saul to act, do what his hands find to do because God is with him.
Another Ordination:
We all need some public recognition to move to the next level. You need a public showing, you must be recognized. Sometimes, what you don’t know is that people take you seriously because of the person standing next to you. Saul was to continue in all that occasion served him until his public showing. Even our Lord Jesus Christ needed the public recognition at the Jordan to announce His ministry. May the Lord cause your star to appear to announce your presence. May God show you to the world for proper recognition.
Another vigilance and consistent submission:
Saul was moved to the next level but could not stay there because he did not guard his heart with all diligence.
He allowed the little success to fill his heart with ego and pride. He began to talk back at Samuel because now he was enthroned. Remember, this was a time when Israel had rejected God and Samuel from being king over them. God used to be the king, but Israel rejected God and Samuel and God gave them Saul. That is why God did not take kindly to the rebellion of Saul. Saul became filled with ego and pride and now began to use his own discretion instead of obeying and consulting with God.
As a result of Saul’s pride, his heart became filled with bitterness, jealousy, insecurity, and depression. If I was the devil, I would not bother to fight any man, I would just fill their hearts with unforgiveness, bitterness, insecurity, jealousy, ego, pride, self-conceit, and ingratitude. Many leaders and rising stars have been destroyed because after their enthronement they begin to treat the hands that lifted them with disdain. They talk back anyhow, they become insolent and fight for independence.
I pray that you shall by this wisdom move to the next level by prophecy and unction.
Be blessed, I love you!
