I want to speak to you today about the one thing that makes a big difference in living. This one thing is the presence of God. Many of us are struggling in life because we do not know the importance and of the role of the presence of the Lord in our lives.
[2 Corinthians 13:14 KJV] “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
My study of the Bible reveals in Acts 7:9 that the patriarch were moved with envy and they sold Joseph; but Joseph prospered because the Lord was with him.
[Genesis 39:3,23 KJV] “And his master saw that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand. [23] The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand; because the Lord was with him, and that which he did, the Lord made it to prosper.”
In Acts 10:38, we understand that our Lord Jesus Christ was able to go about healing the sick and doing good, because the Lord was with him, and had anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power.
In 1 Chronicles 11:9, we learn that David, the king waxed greater and greater because he behaved himself wisely in all things and the Lord was with him.
[1 Samuel 18:12,14 KJV] “And Saul was afraid of David, because the Lord was with him, and was departed from Saul. [14] And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and the Lord was with him”. [1 Chronicles 11:9 KJV] “So David waxed greater and greater: for the Lord of hosts was with him”.
In 2 Kings, we learn that the Lord was with the King and prospered him. [2 Kings 18:7 KJV] “And the Lord was with him; and he prospered whithersoever he went forth: and he rebelled against the king of Assyria, and served him not.”
Finally, let us learn about Apostle Paul, he tells us in 1 Corinthians 15:10, that he had become what he became because of the grace of God that was with him; though he laboured above all of them.
Listen to me: The presence of the Lord;
Four of the simple steps to bring the presence of God, and His help is to:
- Wait on God. (Lamentations 3:25)
- Call upon God in truth (Psalm 145:18)
- Do righteously (Psalm 34:16 or 1Peter 3:13)
- Please the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 4:30)
