How do you engage the power of prayer and watching? The devil is unleashing more subtle but effective weapons against the church and the human race, to trap many more into hell fire.
[Mark 14:38 KJV] “Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak”.
Temptation is the situation in which a man is drawn away by his lust to sin. Whatever tempts a man was already within him or her. Temptations do not come from outside; it starts from within you.
[James 1:13-15 KJV] “Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.”
I believe that this is the time to stop shifting blames and start taking responsibility for our silly and wicked choices. Remember that sin is not a weakness; it is wickedness. Don’t call in your weakness, it is in fact, your wickedness. Joseph refused to go to bed with Potiphar’s wife because he could not “do such a wicked thing and sin against heaven:.
We want to learn how to deal with and escape temptations. The text, however, teaches very cleary how to escape temptations. The Lord instructed very clearly that the supreme secret to escape temptation is to;
- Accept Christian values as your values
- Watch and
- Pray
This is because the spirit is truly willing but the flesh is weak. I have no doubt that many of us have great plans.
Yes, we’ve purposed to stay away from sin and to be faithful. We’ve purposed to love and serve God. We’ve purposed to work in the church and in mission. We’ve purposed to stand with our pastor, come what may.
The early apostles had the same purpose and plan but many of them failed because they did not watch and pray.
The Lord teaches that no matter how brilliant your plans and purposes may be, we wil not excel, untio we engage the force of prayer and watchfulness.
Your spirit may be willing but the flesh will trap you. You can promise heaven and earth but there is only one master key that can keep you standing faithful; to watch and pray, or to be vigilant and stand strong in prayer.
You will excel when you pray. I have no doubt. This is the time to arise and pray. This is the time to pray like never before. This is the season of power and dominion. Arise and let us pray!
As we step into the year 2021 and advance beyond, I will admonish that you watch and pray.
Outline your values, be vigilant, and pray to escape the schemes of darkness. We are in the very terrible days of the human history.
The devil is going to unleash more subtle weapons against the church and the human race to draw more people into hell fire.
Let us be vigilant and instant in prayer!. Let us pray and watch; we can win.

Sing a new song to the Lord. Come before is presence with singing. Let us worship and adore the Lord! Sing and worship now!
Pray and release the name of the Lord as an active weapon to dismantle any projections of darkness against your life. May the name of the Lord break down the projections of darkness and spells against your life!
Release the weapons of war against anything that have crept in to the church; to fight the growth and the prosperity of the church. We release fire and thunder against creeping things, that have crept in unawares. Declare growth and increase now!
Pray that you prosper and be in health even as your souls prospers. This is the will of God. May every power fighting your prosperity and health and worth be broken right now! Recieve what it takes!
Pray that the Lord will strengthen you to stand firm in faith. May the Lord strengthen and empower you against the evil in the world. Recieve the strength to stand and defend the course of the kingdom.
Pray for the ability to stay calm and in self control. Pray that the devil shall not minister fear to you. You will not be decieved. You will stand firm and make it.
Pray that any strongholds in your life be pulled down. Every satanic stronghold must fall. As we pray, may they fall and be broken. We pull it down and demolish it.
Pray that any spells or manipulations projected against you shall fall. They shall not stand! Pray that you shall rise and soar above every satanic sheme.
Pray that the Lord shall restore back to you favour and grace. You must not fail this generation. May the Lord restore grace and honour back to you in the name of Jesus! Pray!
Decree that any evil power that has access to higher places of decision making can never prevail against you. You shall decree and it shall stand. God will enforce your decrees! Pray and decree that you shall excel. You are the light of the world.
Pray that God will make available more grace to expound on Bible truth, cast out devils, teach the truth and heal the sick. Pray for more power, more grace, and more wisdom.
Pray that the Lord will build His church and hell cannot prevail against it. We silience the voice of the adversary, strange women and witches in the church. May the Lord arise and scatter the enemy! May He break the front of the enemy!
Thank God for life and the grace to continue. Pray that the Lord shall deliver your life from the power of sin and sickness and death. Pray!
