Scripture Reading:
Genesis 41:14-16, 33-40 — “And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art: Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled…” (Genesis 41:39-40 KJV)
Devotional Thought:
The world needs people who can think and Solve problems!
Joseph’s rise to power didn’t come just because he could interpret dreams, it came because he offered a solution to Pharaoh’s problem. Prosperity often flows to those who can think clearly, see opportunities in crises, and act with God-given wisdom. Don’t just pray for promotion, prepare your mind to solve problems, and God will position you for influence.
When Pharaoh had a troubling dream, none of Egypt’s magicians or wise men could interpret it. But Joseph, though brought from prison, stood before Pharaoh with clarity and courage. He not only interpreted the dream but also offered a practical solution: store up grain during the years of plenty to survive the years of famine. This single moment of insight transformed Joseph from a forgotten prisoner to the second most powerful man in Egypt.
It is one thing to identify a problem; it is another to think creatively and provide a workable solution. Prosperity is often the reward of those who can discern God’s wisdom for a situation and translate it into actionable steps. Joseph didn’t prosper because he simply had a gift of dreams; he prospered because he applied that gift to solve a national crisis.
Many people pray for promotion, wealth, or influence, but shy away from the responsibility of thinking deeply and solving problems. God’s favor often flows through the door of problem-solving. Your ability to think with the mind of Christ, to see opportunities in crises, and to offer solutions that bless others is a divine pathway to prosperity.
Prayer:
Lord, give me wisdom like Joseph. Help me to not only see challenges but to receive solutions from You that will bless others and open doors of prosperity in my life. Teach me to be a faithful steward of every idea and opportunity You entrust to me. Amen.
Reflection Question:
What problem in your workplace, community, or church can you prayerfully seek God’s wisdom to solve this week?
