My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. (John 5:17, KJV)
When life seems silent, it is easy to assume God has stopped. But Jesus said, ‘My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.’ Even now, in the quiet, in the delay, in the seasons that make no sense, God has not folded His arms. He is working where you cannot see. The absence of evidence is not the absence of activity. Beneath the soil, the seed is busy. Behind the scenes, your situation is being rearranged.
The God who never slumbers is not idle concerning your life. Our problem is that we measure His working by what shows up on the surface, when much of His best work happens underground. The real question is: will you panic in the silence, or rest in the truth that He is still at work? Loyalty trusts the Worker even when it cannot trace the work.
Do not let a quiet season convince you of an absent God. He is writing chapters you have not read yet. Keep praying. Keep serving. Keep believing. This July, refuse to confuse delay with denial; your God is still working.
Prayer
Father, thank You that You are still working, even when I cannot see it. Quiet my fears in the silent seasons and help me to trust Your hidden hand. I believe You are arranging all things for my good. Finish what You have started in me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
