“Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.” – JOB 1:10 (KJV)
Satan himself admitted that a hedge surrounded Job’s life, his household, and everything he possessed, a spiritual barrier the enemy could not cross without divine permission. This month, pray for that same kind of hedge to surround your business, your finances, and your possessions: a protective boundary that keeps thieves, losses, and satanic attack far from what God has blessed.
It is significant that this description of a hedge comes not from Job himself, but from the mouth of the accuser. Even Satan recognised that he could not touch Job’s household, possessions, or work without first being granted limited permission by God. This tells us something important, divine hedges are real, and they are formidable even to spiritual forces of great cunning and malice.
This month, pray specifically for such a hedge to surround your business, your finances, your investments, and your possessions. Ask God to build a boundary that prevents unnecessary losses, sudden theft, fraudulent schemes, and satanic sabotage of your hard-earned resources.
This is not a prayer of presumption but of faith, grounded in the same principle that protected Job’s substantial wealth for years before any testing began. As you pray for this hedge, also walk in wisdom, practising diligence, integrity, and sound stewardship, for a hedge protects what is being cared for responsibly, not carelessly.
Pray also for discernment to recognise early warning signs of fraudulent schemes or bad partnerships before they cause damage. Trust that the same God who permitted a hedge around Job’s household is willing and able to build one around your own labour and increase, keeping it secure until it multiplies into the fullness of what He intends for you.
