Dear friends,
I am sure many of us are desiring greater and better results in life. Since my days as a new believer, I have been trusting God to show me simpler ways to greater and better impact.
Looking at the choices I have made since my days when I first believed, I understand that life could have been much easier if I took these things seriously. The Christian life will be much easier to live if we paid attention to these secrets.
The first secret to greater and better impact is daily pray:
This is the first secret to Jesus’s life. He always woke up early before daybreak to a solitary place to pray (Mark 1:35) Prayer is the greatest secret to the success of Jesus’s life. As children of God, we must cultivate the habit of prayer. Daily devotion to God is the daily secret to greater success. Every one of us who is hungry for success must form the habit of prayer.
The second is the ministry of the word:
Every child of God must serve in the word. We must both study, feed, and share the word. The church must continue in the word if we want to prosper. In Acts 2:42, we learn that they continued stedfastly in the word. Psalm 1 teaches us that those who meditate on the word shall bring forth their fruits in their season. This is a great secret to greater and better impact. (Joshua 1:8)
The third secret is the wisdom of delegation:
There are so many things in life and society today vying for our attention. Some are important but not urgent; others are also urgent but not important. Your ability to discriminate and be able to tell which ones demand your personal attention and which ones must be delegated will lead to greater and better impact. In Acts 6, we learn about how the early church delegated all subsidiary duties to others and focused on the main things. It is important to major on the major and delegates the minor.
Finally, give yourself wholly to your primary calling:
This is a secret to greater and better impact. Give your self wholly. Part-time commitment can not deliver full-time results. Give yourself wholly for greater and better results.
Go and labour on, spend and be spent. That is the way the Master went, and we can do nothing less. We will smile because greater results await us.
I love you!
