Why It’s Impossible to Please God without Faith

I want to exhort you today from Hebrews 11: 6. The scriptures admonish us that without faith it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to the Lord must first if all know that;

  1. God exists
  2. God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him

[Hebrews 11:6 KJV] “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

You must first of all even have faith before you can come to the Lord. It takes faith to take the first step towards God. Without faith, you cannot please God.

It is impossible for us to please God if you cannot believe that He exists and He is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. We must admit that God is not dead, He is alive and both faithful and able to help and heal those who put their trust and hope in Him. The Lord both help and heal those who put their hope and trust in Him. He rejects the arrogant and proud who think they can help themselves. He helps those who look up to Him for help and healing. I did not say those who sit aloof and expect God to work for them; I said those who look up to Him for help and healing.

All of us must remember that God is not dead, He is surely alive and He is real

We must also remember that God is a rewarder; He rewards us according to the proportion of our diligence. He is close to those who seek to be close to Him and froward to those who are froward towards Him. It is important to always remember that God cannot be mocked; whatsoever each of us sows is what we would reap.

We must strive to diligently seek the Lord and serve Him. We can seek Him at any time but it is prudent to seek Him when He may be found. Let us seek Him

  1. In the Scriptures
  2. In His sanctuary
  3. In prayer
  4. In following those who know Him

The Lord Jesus told the people of His days that they will find Him in the Scriptures if they search diligently because the Scriptures testify of Him.

[John 5:39 KJV] “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.”

If all of us will spend a little time every morning to search the scriptures and to search with our spirits, we will find the lord and we will know him better.

[Psalms 73:1‭-‬3‭, ‬17 KJV] “Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart. But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped. For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end”.

Without doubt, those who spend more time in the sanctuary of the Lord; gain great understanding. That is why I encourage you to always come into the presence of Lord. Those who spend time in the sanctuary get to know Him better.

We can also learn from the prophet Daniel that God can be sought in prayer.

[Daniel 9:3 KJV] “And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:”

The Psalmist said, “Hear, O Lord , when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord , will I seek. Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation” (Psalms 27:7‭-‬9 KJV).

I pray with all of my heart that we shall diligently seek the Lord and never lose heart. The Lord is our only hope, help, and healer. Bless you

I love you

The Greek word “pistis” is better translated as “belief”, Pistuo is translated as the verb “believe” and “pistis” is the noun “belief”. This makes much more sense. Without belief it is impossible to please God because a man must believe that there is a God and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him. The reason I say this is because action is required with belief while too many see “trust” as a passive acceptance.

God hates Us and helps very few. Satan hates us and helps nobody. Man hates us too. I’m not arrogant when I’m trying to help myself I’m just trying to stay alive before I get thrown into hell for having a bad thought right before I die or something. I hate being alive
