The Bible, in Hebrews 11, tells us about the great exploits of faith and the heroic feats attained by many who believed God and took Him at His word. The scriptures tell us that there is an inexhaustible list of valiant men and women who achieved great feats of faith. Time will not allow us to exhaust the list in a session, so we want to focus on the wisdom of women who received their dead back to life.
[Hebrews 11:32-38] “And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:
(33) Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
(34) Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
(35) Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:
(36) And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:
(37) They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;
(38) (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.
Many women received their dead back to life but the story of one woman in 2 Kings 4:1-37, teaches great lessons. She is one of the few women the Bible says received their dead back to life. This woman received from the ministry of Elisha and we can learn a lot from her.
You may remember that this is the same woman who built a room for the prophet and put in it a table and lamp. And she received a miracle from God, she received a miracle baby, but one day, the child died and she run back to the prophet Elisha. To cut a long narrative short, her son was restored back to life.
Now, how did it happen? What lessons can be learned from her story? What did she do which we can learn from?
1. She had a relationship with the prophet:
This woman who received her son back to life had a relationship with her prophet, a relationship that goes beyond hi. She built him a room with a bed, a table, and a lamp. She opened up to him, even concerning deep family secrets. She was open to the prophet. The prophet was also welcome to eat and to rest and to lodge. Many of us bury our children because we are not open to our pastors; we keep them in the dark, we lie about everything, we keep them out of our homes. You will experience that divine touch when you build a relationship with the prophet.
2. She believed in the prophet and in His God:
The scripture says that “a prophet is not without honour except in his country and among his people”; but the woman was smart enough to honour and believe in the prophet and his anointing. She would saddle an ass and go to the prophet every Sabbath and New Moon. She did not stay home, she at least attended church every Sunday morning and every Super Sunday. She had faith enough to keep the dead body on the prophet’s bed, saddled her ass and went to the mountain.
Any anointing you don’t honour cannot bless you. Miracles still happen today but in an atmosphere of faith, worship, prayer, and power.
In Mark 6:1-6, we learned that the Lord could not do mighty works because of their unbelief. Familiarity is a killer. It can rob a generation of their blessings and breakthroughs. I pray that you will learn to believe for your breakthrough.
3. She attended all the meetings of the prophet
(This referred to the New Moon meetings, the Sabbath meetings). We must learn to attend all the meetings of the prophet: the Prophetic Allnight, the Super Sundays, and Sunday services. Anyone who wants to walk in the wisdom of the women who received their dead back to life must remember that God is not a ‘sugar daddy’ who is only called upon in the day of need; He is a father and lover who wants a relationship with you. You must resolve to attend all Sunday morning worship services, monthly Prophetic Allnights, and Super Sunday service. These meetings have all been put together for your benefit.
No distance is far, no journey is inconvenient. You must be willing to saddle asses, ride chariots and scale mountains to encounter God. Sometimes you have to go beyond a church in your backyard and go where the glory is. Now, the glory is in the HighCity, on the mountain. You must be ready to travel to the Hill of God to have an encounter with wisdom and power.
4. She run to the prophet in every emergency:
Aside from all these, the woman knew where to go in times of crisis. When her boy dies, she saddled an ass and run to the prophet, she run to the mountain. Don’t go anywhere, bring your emergencies to the same mountain where you worshipped before the crisis.
I pray the God of the HighCity mountain will show up and work a miracle for you. Women who received their dead back to life did not have an extraordinary faith, but they had the attitude and wisdom that provokes the hand of God to act. This woman had a relationship with the prophet and she attended his meetings with faith and Honour.
You will not bury your young. You will not bury good dreams. I see the hand of God showing up to help you.

God bless you Bishop and may the miracle working God bring as more resources for the work of ministry. Amen.
God blessyou Pastor!
I’m really enlightened on the importance of fellowshiping with the prophet and its impact on my life.
I make a decision today.
Several years ago, Pastor baught some very beautiful flowers and flower vases for church. And he said that he was by those flowers removing all our excuses for not coming to church.
I like the way God has removed all our excuses for not receiving our miracles. Now I understand by this message that all I need in order to recieve my miracle is the right attitude and wisdom to know what to do when I encounter the Lord.
God bless you for sharing this message Pastor.
Amen
Lord please grant me wisdom that I may be able to build an opened and a truthful relationship with my prophet so that my miracles won’t pass me by in Jesus name..
God Bless you bishop for this enlightenment.
